A second, life-saving Mobile Stroke Unit (MSU) has hit the road.
The MSU service has been operating for seven years, providing critical care to more than 10,000 patients across Melbourne suspected of having a stroke - at their doorstep.
On Sunday 15 December, the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) and Ambulance Victoria welcomed the Minister for Health, the Hon. Mary-Anne Thomas to officially launch the second MSU vehicle and dual service.
The RMH Neuroscience Foundation is a proud partner of the MSU, supporting the service since inception, along with the Australian Stroke Alliance, University of Melbourne, Stroke Foundation, The Florey and Victoria State Government.
