Support us

1 in 6 Australians. 1 billion worldwide.

Imagine your close family and friends around you right now. Statistically, at least one of you could be impacted by brain disease at some point in the future.

That’s one in six Australians and around one billion people worldwide.

With your support we can change this, for good.

Current research

Your support helps our researchers and clinicians better prevent, detect and treat brain and neurological diseases. Our discoveries and breakthroughs are testament to our pioneering spirit and expertise, and to the commitment and courage of patients who make scientific progress possible.

A circulating molecular biomarker to diagnose and guide treatment for glioma patients via simple blood test over invasive surgery or tissue biopsies.

Improving early reperfusion with adjuvant dornase alfa in large vessel ischemic stroke.

Early detection and prevention of progressive disability in multiple sclerosis.

The fundraising event of the year

Our signature fundraising event is a night to recognise those who conduct and contribute to our ground-breaking brain disease research. It is also a time to acknowledge the patients and families who inspire us with their bravery and enduring spirit.

To close out the RMH Research Conference 2024, one of the inaugural Foundation Trustees, Professor Stephen Davis AO, has been inducted into the prestigious RMH Research Hall of Fame.

A second, life-saving Mobile Stroke Unit (MSU) has hit the road.

The MSU service has been operating for seven years, providing critical care to more than 10,000 patients across Melbourne suspected of having a stroke - at their doorstep.

The importance of early diagnosis of MS has been proven worldwide, with much of this research being completed at The Royal Melbourne Hospital Neuroimmunology Centre.
